Boat owners and homeowners in South East Queensland need to be aware that ex-tropical cyclone Debbie is heading our way and expected to pass over Brisbane. This is likely to bring extremely strong winds from the north, followed by an easterly change before it swings to extremely strong and damaging winds from the South. This will start occurring from early Thursday morning with Thursday night & Friday Morning seeing extremely strong winds. This may not ease until after the weekend and with large volumes of rain expected you will need to make sure your vessel is ready.
Please make sure your vessel is secured for all directions of wind and that your hatches and doors are secure. Check that your bilge pumps are operational and all loose items secured away.
